Many people have asked how they can contribute to Andrew and his family directly.
If you have an interest in contributing to the Niblock family, you can make a contribution to the Niblock Family Trust. In addition to helping offset the incremental costs of living with ALS, contributions to the Niblock Family Trust go towards Andrew's participation in advanced and experimental technology, equipment and treatments.
It is Andrew's goal to live a long, purposeful, engaged, and full life. His commitment to his family, friends, education, and the ALS community will not waver.

Andrew and his family will face extraordinary medical and incidental expenses as a result of this diagnosis. Estimates for medical costs alone range from $200,000-$300,000/year, most of which encompass ventilation, feeding tube, and in-home care and are not covered by insurance. - $40,000 for a specialized van;
- $30,000 for participation in long-term clinical trials for up to 2 years;
- $10,000 for computer eye gaze technology allowing Andrew (who, like all ALS patients, will retain the use of his eye muscles despite complete paralysis) to continue interacting with family, friends, and work.

Douglas J. Lyons
Doug has been the Executive Director of the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools since July 2004. A graduate of Villanova University, Doug has Masters and Doctoral degrees from The University of Pennsylvania. He began his career in public education, serving for twenty years in the New Jersey public schools as a teacher, coach, school principal and Superintendent of schools. Dr. Lyons has taught students at every level of education: lower, middle and upper school, undergraduate and graduate school. In 1992 he left the Superintendency in Mt. Lakes N.J. to accept the position of Headmaster of the Greenwich Country Day School, Connecticut’s largest independent school.
Dr. Lyons’ publications on education and on parenting have appeared in local, state and national journals and in the popular media, including Independent School magazine, The New England Independent School Guide, Executive Educator, Connecticut Magazine and The New York Times. Doug has served on many non-profit boards and committees, among them the boards of the St. Angela’s School in the South Bronx, N.Y., the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge, PA, the United Way, YMCA and The Community Answers Service Organization in Greenwich CT. Doug is currently the Chair of Stonington CT Planning and Zoning board.
Doug and his wife Evelynn have both served on the vestry of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Stonington, (Doug as Junior Warden) where Doug also served for many years as the President of the Calvary Nursery School Board of Trustees.
Doug is a frequent presenter at NAIS Annual Conferences and at regional conferences all over the U.S. He and Andrew Niblock served as a Featured Speakers at the ECIS Leadership Conference in Brussels, Belgium.

Charles T. Rose
Charles is a Portfolio Management Director at Morgan Stanley. Along with his partner he oversees two concentrated equity strategies for clients, the 1607 All Cap Portfolio and the 1607 Income Growth Portfolio. The team also serves as a Family Office to a select number of their investors.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Charles was with Pelagic Capital Advisors, a long/short hedge fund under the Tiger Management umbrella. Charles opened and worked from Pelagic’s London office and was responsible for the firm’s overseas investments.
Charles sits on the Board and the Finance Committee of the New York Institute for Special Education and the National Advisory Board of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from the University of Virginia.
Charles is a lifelong friend of Andrew’s. He spent childhood summers in Maine sailing and exploring Frenchman’s Bay with Andrew and the Niblock family. He attended the University of Virginia with Eliza and currently lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife Nicki and their two children.
